Find Griffy
Griffy, my sweet and constant companion since he was a 4 month old puppy, disappeared from the scene of an accident and I have not been able to find him!
Late in the evening of Friday, January 22nd, 2010, our car was hit on the passenger side, which spooked my normally happy, friendly dog -- an 18 lb Brussels Griffon.
As I'm posting this appeal for help in defraying the costs of the search, I have taken a week of vacation to search for him and try to spread the word. I can see now that so much, much more is needed for me to do that effectively!
I have brought in a dog trained to track missing pets, to try to get a location on him, and know that I may need to do this again if I don't find him soon. Because his collar and tags were so secure on him, and because his scent ended in the shopping center, I am afraid that someone has taken him in and has perhaps mistaken his scruffy coat and frightened demeanor as evidence that he has been mistreated or dumped!
I need to put up more fliers -- a lot more, I understand, and I need to have some large signs made that can be prominently displayed in the area where the tracking dog trailed his scent.
I want to have postcards made to mail to vets and groomers and other pet-related businesses and businesses and to residents near where he was lost. I want to get ads in the paper with his picture.
I've never lost a dog before, but I'm finding out that searching for a lost dog can be VERY expensive! Can you help me defray the costs of finding the love of my life? I'm terrified that my very best efforts won't be good enough to find him now, and the idea of not being able to do some of the things I need to do because I'm out of money terrifies me just as much!
